The special volume commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Schirn Kunsthalle documents the entirety of exhibitions shown since the founding of the institution, and gives a voice to important figures from the worlds of art, culture and politics. The aim was to pay homage to the current design identity of the Kunsthalle but at the same time imbue the catalogue with a distinct and lasting character of its own.
