In the form of Frankfurt Airport, Fraport AG operates one of the world’s most important airline hubs, and it is also Germany’s largest place of work. For orientation purposes in the new corporate HQ, hauser lacour designed the guidance system and the display of the media wall and furniture.
The building comprises two structures which are linked by a central, glass hall and provide lightness and transparency. It also stands for the new, open corporate culture to which Fraport AG aspiures, and which the guidance and orientation system is intended to nurture.
The building’s transparent structure helps visitors notice the guidance system with its letters made of light-sensitive film; they provide orientation even from a distance. Before guests have stepped into the building they already spot the word “INFO” at the reception desk and can head directly for it. Detailed information in smaller lettering is only legible up close.
On a media wall above the reception desk Fraport AG presents a range of corporate facts and figures, as well as generative graphics that interpret aircraft movements and panoramic views that alternate between employees and their workspaces. In the entrance area long benches with four recessed screens invite visitors to find out about Fraport AG on their own. They likewise underscore the new open approach with regard to corporate culture.
hauser lacour produced high-resolution images for the media wall and furniture, which fully exploit the presentation quality technology offers. The images include panoramic views of the airport, employee portraits, and a series of photos of the ground handling services’ vehicle fleet.
